Edward Cowhey died October 3 and waa buried from the local undertak ing parlors the sixth. The deceased was born in Ireland 91 years ago. The burial was in charge of the Brit ish Benevolent Society and waa at tended by M •. J. Trant, the British consul. Services were conducted by the Rev. J. P. O’Flynn. Among our out-of-town visitors was Otto Erickson, major of Beaver ton. an old friend of the pastor. Otto sold hi* first Ford to Father O’Flynn, when the latter was laying the foun dation of the Catholic parish there. And today Otto, through sheer force of activity and honesty and brains, has over half a million dollars sunk in the Ford interests all over Wash ington county. And if Beaverton to day is a neat little city of cleanliness and hard-surfaced streets, it may thank its present mayor. Masses on Sundays at 8 and 10:30.
