Mr». Caroline Lindell, of Powell
Valley and Seventy-first street, ia
another recent victim of automobile
unmanagvablenesa. While riding in
the car with her son, Tony, her car
ran into another machine which had
»topped suddenly and unreasonably.
After they had recovered the iden-
titiea of the two auto», the Lindell
car Htarted on ita way around a cor
ner when it collapsed with aome
vigor, the confusion resulting in the
breaking of Mr». Lindell’s arm.
At the Fourth United Brethren
church, Tremont, next Sunday, vial-
tor»' day will be observed. Thia day
ia also the 29th anniversary of the
initiation of the Endeavor society
into the official family of United
Brethren church activities. The ladies
are planning a huge cake to be top
ped with 29 candles in honor of the
occasion, and it is hoped that the au
dience will be large and responsive.

and Neighbors of Woodcraft com
bined in a very successful entertain
ment Wednesday evening, April 23,
at Woodmen hall.

trio composed of Arlington Crum,
Roy Bowen and Frank Kenworthy,
accompanied by Miss Gladys Crum;
a reading by Ed Willey; a vocal solo
by Mi»» Edith Snider; a piano solo
by Mrs. Smiley; a reading by O. V.
Badley; a mandolin and guitar duct
by Messrs. Mathie» and Gorman; a
vocal solo by A. Galichio; a piano
solo by Mr. Roach; a vocal trio by
the Misses Ollie and Della Payne and
Verl Palmer, and a reading by Mas
ter Tom Badley.
