Grandma Shaw, of 3711 Seventy

home of her son, Ellton Shaw, for
the past two weeks. She was con
fined to'her bed for a week suffer
ing from a very severe attack of
tonsilitis. She is making satisfac
tory progress on the way to recov
ery and at present is able to be out
of doors some.

Smoking Prohibited.
The principal of the Lents school
has announced his intention of pun
ishing school boys for smoking. A
great many complaints hkve come to
him about the matter. Last Tuesday
some boys were seen smoking in
front of Mr. Truck’s store, which is
across the street from the school, to
attract the attention of other school
boys. Al) school children are pro
hibited from entering Trust’s store
in school hours. The policemen have
been notified to carry out this new
ruling.
