Don t fail to hear him. Four Multnomah county granges will send delegates to the Oregon State Gra-.je which will meet at Tillamook in May. The granges are: Evening Star, Gresham, Woodlawn and Fairview. F. F. EHRLICH S. F. Pitta has sold his 2»• acres of land a mile west of Sycamore store, to a couple of gentlemen, J. S. Calvert and A. The installation of the eervice appears to have been delayed from time to time. It is to be hoped that all hindering causes will be removed, and this much needed system will be established. W. J. Humphrey of Maplewood, Washington County, visited friends in Lents Wednesday and called on the Herald, incidentally. Mr. Humphrey is a veteran typo of the early days. He worked on the first issues of the Oregonian ever printed and served it for twenty-five years. In his time fifteen hours was no unusual days' work. He still thinks he would like to try bis hand at the case and would like ly prove a useful man around the office. The W. F. M. 8. of the M. E. Church met last Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Frank Wallace. The subject for the meeting was, “Child Life in Heathen Landa." Miss Inez Richard son gave an interesting paper on the subject, which was followed by a gener al discussion. The newly elected ' officers are: Mrs. W.
