I Daily, or every 100 miles, pour fresh Zerolcne No. 6 into crankcase. through filler pipe until, oil level indicator" in crankcase shows "full," or to height of oil try cock on side of crankcase. Avoid overfilling. Best results" will be ob tained if the oil level is maintained between "half full" and "full" marks on the indicator. To get a correct reading of the oil level gauge, the automobile should be approximately level and the engine not running. When engine is running the oil I pressure indicator on dash should how pressure which will vary, with the speed and temperature of the en gine. If no pressure is registered, the indication is lack of oil in crank' case, oil pump not working properly, or some obstruction or break in oil passages. ,The engine should imme diately be stopped and the trouble located and remedied. At regular intervals, as recom mended by the manufacturer, or, in the absence of such instructions, every 750 miles, the oil in the crank case reservoir should be entirely re newed in the following manner: First, remove drain plug in bottom of crankcase allowing all old oil to drain. This should preferably be one when engine is warm, as the old oil when heated will drain faster, and less qf it will adhere to the inner surfaces of the crankcase, Next, replace drain plug and pour four quarts of Calol Flushing Oil into crankcase through filler pipe, Then start and operate the engine under its own power at a moderate idling speed for from one to two minutes, by which time all oil pass ages and inner surfaces will have been cleansed by the action of the ushing oil. Again remove drain plug and when certain that crank case is thoroughly drained, replace plug and refill crankcase reservoir with fresh Zerolene oil as specified. Approximately seven quarts of oil are required. When filMng the res ervoir tnrougn nuer pipe care should be taken that no dirt or other foreign matter is carried into the engine with the fresh oil. Every 2000 miles it is advisable to remove the lower crankcase and clean the oil strainer surrounding lhe oil pump suction pipe. Valve Rocker Arms 7. Daily, or every 100 miles, fill oil reservoirs in rocker arm shafts situated on top of the engine with Zerolene No. 5, using oil squirt-gun for this purpose. Oil is distributed from these reser voirs to the valve rocker arm bear ings by means of felt wicks. Fan 2. Every 1000 miles remove plug in fan hub and inject a small amount of Zerolene No. 5. Be sure to replace plug securely. trull MAKING MILK IN NEBRASKA Moure Obtained Probably1 Approxi mate Requirements In Other Sec tions of Wt (Prepared by the United States Department of Agriculture.) - Hi Is whut It costs, in lubor and feed, to produce 100 pounds of market milk In eastern Nebraska: Winter, six months concentrates, HJ2 pounds; dry roughage, 05.3 pounds; silage and other succulent roughuge, 93.0 pounds; bedding, 11.1 pounds; human lubor, 2 hours; horse lubor, 0.06 hour; hauling am) grinding coneen trutes, $0,010; pasture, $0,108; total cimts, except depredation on cows, $0.7S8; depreciation on rows, $0,018.
