Mr. Fegtley was a very prominent mason of Kansas and held many positions of honor within the gift of the order. Putin the meat, vegetables and gravy, cover with dough uud bake In a hot oven. .Meat Turnovers. Place any chopped cooked meat available on circles of biscuit dough about the size of a saucer. Fold the 'dough over tho meat, crimp the edges and bako In a hot oven. Veg etables may be combined with the meat lining as desired, and the whole may bo .served with gravy. Veal or Beef Birds. Cut very thin meat. Into roughly rectangular pieces of a sufficient size for individual serv ings. Wheeler very delightfully entertained the members of the after noon bridge club at her home on Wed nesday afternoon. The meeting was a special social day and much enjoyed by members and guests present. Mrs. John Houston and children OREGON' MINERAL PRODUCTION Seventy-Six Mines Gold, Copper and Silver Produce $2,270,874. Government figures compiled by Chas. G.. Gale of tho U. S. Ceological survey have been issued on the mineral production of Oregon for the year 1917, which shows there are 76 gold, silver and copper mines- in the state which produced $2,270,874, being $G5G 604 less than 191G. There wero 32 less mines operated than in the pre vious' year. The placer mines produced $727, 3G5 and quartz $764,432 in gold. 2, 474,487 pounds of copper from Baker and Josephine counties, tho balance of the state only producing 1000 pounds. Of tho 125,656 fine ounces of silver Baker county was first pro ducing 100,663, Grant next with 23,-' 052 ounces.
