It Is Practical
Economy To Paint
Your Buildings
Now and Protect
Your Property
From Decay
and Ruin
Allowing your buildings to go unpainted in
order to save paint money is like allowing your
insurance policy to lapse because you want to
save the premium. Either is poor economy.
Millions of dollars arc lost annually because property
is not protected against weather, for unpainted build
ings offer no resistance to the destructive elements,
c Property insurance requires paints and finishes of
the finest quality. Vind, rain, sunshine, snow each
acts differently upon a painted surface. It is neces
sary therefore to use great care in the selection of paints
and varnishes for this important task of protection.
For fifty years and more Sherwin-Williams products
have hcen accepted and used as standard high quality
finishes. They will successfully protect and increase
the value of your property.

FOR COUNTY JUDGE
To the Republican Voters of Mal
heur County:
This is to announce my candidacy
for nomination and reelection to the
office of County Judge of Malheur
County. In malting your choice, I
respectfully request you to consider
the records of my administration in
the nffairs of the county. The county
debt has been removed, the finances
of the county placed on a cash basis,
the business of the public has been
carefully attended to, and the taxes
lowered in the face of prevailing in
creased costs of labor and material.
During the past year the county has
cooperated with the National Govern
ment in furthering the best interests
of the war.
The new county road policy is be
ginning to accomplish permanent re
sults and better satisfaction will be
given every district than under the
previous law.
If nominated and elected I will
continue to administer the affairs of
the county with the same careful at
tention that has been given in the
past.
The critical hour in the destiny of
our country is here, and we are to
be drained of millions for national
defense. Courage, Conservation and
Sacrifice is my platform.

In consequence of the above the Nyal

When you are away out in the mountains
and miles away from the care of good med
ical treatment, good service and good med
. icine means dollars and life to you. A good
trustworthy mail service is one of the best
accomodations that you have to depend up
on. In our mail order department we give
individed attention to each and every order
that we receive. We will guarantee each and
every Nyal package or Nyal preparation
that does not give you results as you think
they should, and we are also willing to ex
change goods that does not satisfy you on
examination. All that we ask is a trial. We
will give you a square deal. Is that not fair
enjmgh?
When you are sick we want you to use
nothing but the best medicine obtainable.
The best is none to good. Sometimes death
results from quack and false medicines. We
want you to feel and know that the Nyal re
medies are made and manufactured in a big
sanitary modern factory. We want you to
know that these preperations are prepared
by expert chemists and pharmacists, experts
in thejr lines j that they are not experimen
tal or theoretical remedies, containing cheap
and inefficient substances and are to cure
everything under the sun in one day; but
straight medicine intended for one certain ail
ment only and no other. Wo want to tell you
that Nyal remedies are not secret patent
medicines thrown upon the market to de
ceive and rob by quack advertising. Their
contents are not clothed in tho clouds of
mystery; that their curative value is not the
dream of some dreamer but the tried exper
iments of 20 years standin.g. We maintain
that you should know just what you are tak
ing and that every drug is specially tested
and brought direct from the producer and
grower. These drugs are tested to find their
exact strength as to uniform compound each
time. That you are served each time with
the best possible mixture in each and every
bottle of the same name.
Knowing the exact strength of each drug
and chemical that enters into these
remedies, therefore, we can readily guaran
tee these to the limit. Why? Because we
know just what they are made of; that
they are sanitary and safe.
Take for instance Nyal's Little Liver
Pills for constipation and stomach disorders.
They contain Aloin, Ext. Belladonn leaves,
Podophyllin, Strychnine Sulphate, Ipecac
and Calomel. The A loin is a well known
cathartic, stimulating the liver with the
assistance of the Calomel, one of tho very
best known liver stimulators known, thus
stimulating the general function of the
aver. Tho Podophyllum -(commonly konwn
as vegetable Calomel) is very drastic
cathartic especially used in the treatment
of constipation and stomach troubles, tor
pid liver, jaundice and biliousness. Ipecac
also is added to give tone and aid to the
strychnine which is used for a stimulant
for the appetite and also to lessen the
catarhal condition of the stomach.
Thi3 preperation and combinations of thus
character are recognized by all the leading
medical students as second to none for
constipation and bilious disorders.
These pills now sell for 23 cents.
