KINGMAN COLONY THREE DISTRICTS AT OWYHEE New Lines of Work Discussed and Plans Formulated for the Studies Next Year HOUSEWARMING A splendid Parent-Teacher Associa tion rally was held at the Owyhee school house Friday afternoon of last week. There were patron, to the number of twenty from three districts in that section of the county. While the Owyhee organization was perfect ed last spring, new lines of work were discussed and plans made for more and better work next year. Mrs. Flora Irfwe is president of the Owyhee Asso ciation and she has the support of the entire neighborhood in her work. At the meeting Friday all of the women and most of the men in tho local dis trict signed the constitution. Tho peo ple on the Owyhee are realizing what united efforts will accomplish and the new school year bids fair to be the best they have enjoyed for a long time. IMPROVEMENTS ON OWYHEE SCHOOL BUILDING MADE Some good improvements arc being made on the Owyhee school house. A new heating plant, a change in the lo cation of some of tho windows and sev eral other changes will give them a comfortable and well equipped building. The Kingman Colony people will give a house warming in their new school building Saturday evening. A government post oflice inspector was in Brogan checking over our pott oflice Looks last Thursday. Mrs. Trevett has been very ill the last week, but is slowly recovering. Mr. Willis went to Ontario on Satur day, returning on Monday. Mr. I'.obertson and his mother drove to Vale last Saturday. Mrs. Willis' brother spent the week end in lirogan. After a month's siege of sickness, Mrs. Woodward is able to be out. Harry Flynn leaves for a two weeks eastern business trip the last of this week. Mrs. Robertson expects to leave for her new home in Spokane about the 30th. Fred will drive un to Snokane. and Billy Pancoast is planning to go with him. Frances Woodward leaves about the 15th for Caldwell where she will go to school this winter. The Ladies Aid Society meets with Mrs. A. A. Reed and Mrs. Lane at Mrs. Reed's home on Wednesday. Threshers are busy with Fred Mit chel's oats. The yield is very good. Mrs. Willis went to Vale Tuesday on business.
