Dear Sir: Your paper last week had an edi torial that 1 wish to commend; it was in defense of the famous 'Sterilization Act' of the last Legislature. It was an able and timely article. The Sterilization law is intended as a protection to the good people of the state. The debased, debauched crimin als are soon released from our penal institutions, and roam at will over the state, many of them committing cri mes againct both God and man; un der the provisions of this law, the crim inal whose record requires that he be operated on as the law provides, is rendered harmless so far as propagating his kind is concerned; It is not likely that many criminals will be operated on, though many of them should be; this law should be upheld for it is a present deterrent to crime and a future protection to society. The Workman's Compensation Act is another that will be on the ballot Nov. 4th; this Act was the result of the study and efforts of hundreds of competent people from various walks of life, and is generally considered the most advanced and workable law of the kind in the United States. This law is constructive legislation and should be upheld. In my judgment, all the measures on the ballot for Nov. 4th should be voted 'Yes' unless it is the County Attorney Act; that act haa some good features, bat it seems immaterial whether the change is made or not; the county plan will cost a little more to the tax pay ers, but the people might get better service to equalize the cost. Yours truly, W. F. Hom AN. Representative 27th District. YALE ENTERTAINMENT COURSE.
