Frqnk was takon suddenly 111 and had to under go an operation for appendicitis and for a short tlmo was in a very ser ious conditions. He has recovered entirely now, howovor. Con Ryan went to Westfall Sat urday with Dick Scott and spent the week end, returning Monday. W. M. Scott of Beulah who was one of the upper country men called for Jury duty for the September term Bpont the week ond here in Ontario. Mrs. John P. Huston of Vale was an Ontario visitor on Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Lytlo of Vale spent Friday here. Mr. Lytle on official business and Mrs. Lytle visiting friends. Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Rusk who spent tho summer here after their stay in California left by auto Wed nesday for Portland where they ex pect to spend tho winter. Mr. and Mrs. O. H. Test having taken the Rusk liouso for the winter, while Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Brooke habo moved from their ranch Into the the house vacated by tho Tests. J. R. Blackaby loft today for Jor dan Valley on business. Judgo W. W. Wood, P. J. Gal lagher, Paul McCulloch and Mr. Pot ter of tho state water masters dev partment left this morning for Jor dan Valley to bo present at tho hear ings of tho Owyhee Adjudication which will l? held at the south-end metropolis Friday. Mrs. Archie Meyers of Ironside spent last Friday and Saturday here on hor return from Portland where sho went on a visit two weeks ago. W. Wiodoma of Jordan Valley was numbered among tho guests at tho Mooro last Friday. After the court adjournod ho spent sovoral additional days visiting with his nephew, James Turnbull of the high school faculty and also looked after business matters. Rutherford of Malheur was an Ontario vlsito on Saturday. Edward L. King, son of G. L, King of this city came down from Boiso to spend Saturday. ANTHONY IDAHO TO SPEND WINTER Mrs. L. Adam and her nelce, Miss Teressa Young leave tomorrow for St. Anthony whero they will Join Mr. Adam and make their homo this winter. Thoy have closed their home here and have as yet no definite plans concerning their return to this city whore they havo lived for many years and havo played a prominent part In its development. Mrs. Adam who from the time of its organiza tion until last woek was president of the Library Broad and as one of the original members of tho Woman's Club was largely instrumental in getting the Library started and de veloped to the position it now oc uplles in tho Iifo of tho city and country. Mr. and Mrs. Adam aro going to St. Anthony to be near their their son, Spraguo Adam who is in business there.
