About forty boxos woro sold bringing $37.50 which is to bo usod toward purchas ing a Vlctrola for tho school, Joss Ilrown was auctioneer but was not as successful In raising bids as ho was a year ago, tho highest box bringing only $2.60. Miss Lola Roos was tho wook-ond guest of Miss Una Armstrong, Mrs. aroy Konnoy and Mrs. Pearl Crane visited tho school Thursday, Floyd Richardson and wife visited his slstor Mrs. Poarl Frakea Satur day evening and attended tho Hox Social at Valloy View school houso. Tho program given by the school was enjoyed by all present and was so well rendorod there woro no notlceablo mistakes. Tho Hoalth Pageant, which Included almost evory pupil In school was especially enjoyod. Tbo Play "Tho Obstlu ato Family" In which the six charact ers, two married couples, a butler, and tbo maid, refusod to repeat the werds: "Thank Heaven the tablo Is laid." A tragedy was averted by tbo young husband (Serono McMur ren) presenting his wife (Una Arm strong) with a new shoulder scarf, after which she willingly repeated the words, and tho others woro com pelled to follow suit. Rev. Young preachod at tho Sun day sorvlces which were well at tended. Helen Wisdom visited Merle Ken- noy Saturday, Mrs. C. E. Amldon and Miss Agnes wero visitors at the J, A. Walters homo Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Amldon and Mrs, Walters aro sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Wisdom of Ontario attended the entertalnmont and box supper Saturday night. Rev. Young and family wore din ner guests at tho Armstrong home Sunday. John Koogan and family spent Sun day ovonlng with Ed Ingraham and family. Lawreuco Sargont and Ivan Wil liams from Frultland were among thoso at the program Saturday evening. Both boys previously lived in this neighborhood.
