We Told You So
The old phrase, "wo told you so," is
rather threadbare, hut we cannot resist the
temptation of reminding those skeptical ones
of our repeated advice regarding the price
of huildiiig material.
The uninitiated assumed that the close
of the war would result in a tumble in build
ing material priCM. What they did not con
Baer was the fact that the building mate
rlal business was one line that was cut to
Hie hone as a direct result of the war. Con
sciuently, as soon as they were relieved
from war's responsibilities it was a foregone
conclusion that all lines connected with
bnildiug activity would react in the greatest
boom ever before experienced.
This is the present situation in a nut
shell. The mills arc crowded as never be
fore. In the Immediate future it is not go
ing tt be so much .1 matter of price as it
will be of being able to get material at any
price.
