Laat Saturday afternoon the High

the big patriotic parade. The mili
tary company, headed by the High
School band and the Honor Ouard
glrla of the O. H. S., took prominent
part In the parade.
Major E. S. Matthewa. a Canadian
officer who haa been actively en
gaged on the Western front, gave a
very Intereatlng talk Monday morn
ing to the assembled achool and
faculty, lie ahowed the studenta a
complete Infantryman's outfit and re
lated a number of personal experi
ences which made his talk especially
Interesting.
Saturday morning the atudenta en
joyed two very helpful talka by Dr.
Van Watera of Portland, and Rev.
Powell of Cove, Oregon.
