We are about to vote upon the question of installing a system of
municipally owned water works. If we adopt this measure, a system
will be installed which will furnish an adequate supply of pure,
soft water for every house in town, both for domestic and irrigat
ing purposes; and will also furnish at least five times the fire pro
tection we have at present.
This system will be so constructed as to meet the needs of a town
of 5000 people, and can be increased by additional units, without
great cost, as, our growth demands.
The installation of this water system will settle many questions
which are uppermost in the minds of our citizens regarding the
welfare of his family, and the future developments of the city.
It will bring renewed confidence in Ontario as a commercial and
railroad center, and a city of fine homes.
It will mark the beginning of a long and active era of development
upon which we are about to enter, and we can do no better than to
make this much needed municipal improvement first.
Revenues Will Meet Bend and Interest Payments
These bonds will be retired in ten years, or permitted to run
twenty at the optiojj of the City,- and it is anticipated that the
revenues derived from the system will meet the bond and interest
V&fm&ts without the aid of any taxes for that purpose.
Call at the City Hall and examine the plans which the Council now
have before them, then go to the polls early on February 25th, and
VOTE YES
Thereby assisting yourself and neighbor in making Ontario the
kind of City you would like to live in.
