First National Bank Ontario, Oregon 'W opiuent of the count r CashdCarryJan.U9l8 Over 400 merchants in Idaho and Oregon have adopted thft Cash and Carry plan outlined by the Food Administration the United States. Everybody seems to see the necessity of conserving, m aj the concerns are falling in line. We have persenal: v talked it over with a great many of our patrons, and so far have found no one that is opposed to the plan of Uncle Sam. It is true that it will be a little inconvenient to get used to I for awhile, but after once lined up it will be easy and more economic than the charge and credit way. The Grocer is in the same boat as the consumer. We must pay cash to get the goods, and the goods will be hard to get If we all pull together there will be no trouble in making tit a success lor all concerned, from a financial point of view, as well as Irom the patriotic point. The saving in price will in eyery case more than pay lor the delivery charge of 5c for the delivery. Every package taken home when hot will lessen the task of delivering. It we remember these lew points that Uncle Sam is ijryinglj show us we will all be better Off altera year's trial. Respectfully RADER BROS. As you have prospered so have we, and we wish to thank you personally for the help that you have given us. In the last twenty-two years many new towns have started, many new distribution centers have also started but with your help we are proud to say that this concern is the only one that has weathered the storms. The greatest of all storms is now upon us. Our food administrator has called us in and asked us to distribute Food and Clothing as cheaply as pos ble, to help relieve man power as much as pessible so that the great war may be won. We are with our President to the last trench; three of our family are already with the colors. If hard work and economy will help, we will try to do our part. We want your business as we have had before, we want you to feel that this is your store as you always have. We have to make some radical changes that our Government is asking of us, to reduce expenses. Our book account system has to be changed to some extent. Our delivery will be free at 10 a. m. each day if your order amounts to $1.50 or more. If under that amount, we will make a charge of 10c for delivery service. As in the past we are going to try and give you the best quality and price store in Eastern (jH gon and Western Idaho and will ask you to cooperate with us. BOYER BROS. & CO; department sroja
