since the property will be directed by

A W. Trow Is dead. This message
as It traveled fast over the city Men
day afternoon oast a gloom where ev
er Oatarlana met. The whole city,
as ono man, waa shocked by the news
and from every lip came words of the
most profound admiration and re
aped for the man and the work he
performed for the community In
w I itch he lived.
Not only the words spoken but by
the manor In which they were uttered
were the most sincere tribute I bat fel
low citizens can bestow.
Seldom has the community been
so shaken by a message as It waa
wltli the story of his death for Iml
an hour before he lied been, to all
appearances, In good health. All day
Sunday he worked on matters of pub
tic Interest, one of the laal of which
was the making of arrangements for
the allowing of the wool car on Mon
day. Monday morning ha waa
about the streets as usual energeti

viewing business men on various mut
ters, prepsratory to making a trip to
Vale during the afternoon.

to close their stores and shops three
to four o'clock as a mark of respect
to the former head of the city govern
ment and by general consent the
Mayor's proclamation will be adhered

Influence Felt In Man Melds.
There wan no phase of civic life In
Ontario that did not feel the beneficial
presence of Mr. Trow. His enthusi
asm wan unbounded. His energy was
limitless Characteristic of him was

that he wan suffering from a high
blood pressure, the forerunner of the
ailment which caused his death. At
that time he was told to ease up on
his work, lo stop when be felt tired
or fatigued.
