With the consent of Jackson coun ty, tha state highway commission has decided to divert 18000 from the amount allotted to that county for road work, for use In making a aurvey of the proposed road from Crater Lake to a point connecting with the Pacific Highway nar Medford. The Columbia River Fishermen's Protective union has set the prices for raw chlnook salmon to prevail dur ing the season, which will open at noon on May 1 at 6Sk cents a pound for fish weighing under 16 pounds each and 7 V cents a pound for fish weighing 16 pounds or over.
