I would like to urge the im portance of every man mid worn nn rediscovering the nrt of mak ing things grow. Not ono wom an In Ave takes the Interest In house plants mid her gardeu that her mother and grandmoth er took. Not one man In ten at the present time Is sufficiently ac quainted with the needs of plant life to make even a fair success out of his garden, whether large or smnll. The knowledge of gar dening and the love of seeing things grow are phases of Euro pean life from which we might learn valuable lessons. If t ho average farmer nnd his good wife realised the value of a good garden and one or two acres of highly cultivated, carefully tend ed vegetable crops It would In crease the Interest In farming, raise the price of farms n ml mid to the general prosperity of the country. -Correspondent of American Agriculturist.
