Sweet potatoea are grown by means
of aeta or aprouta which grow from
the root buds. It la beat to get them
from seed growers or gardener. They
require warm, moderately rich, aandy
land. If the land la too fertile there
will be a large growth of top at the ei
pense of the root The planta may be
set out from the middle of May until
the 1st of July or after tbe late froeta
are over.
The potatoes may be grown on tho
level, but a ridge usually la preferred.
In the garden ridging may be done
