At the conclusion, of the students' din
ner the employes departed for their
various quarters to partake of a Christ
mas dinner themselves. At the "Mess" a
fine dinner, on a sale pleasing to all
members of that body, was served.
Everything at this hostelry was just
right a real, comfortable, Christmas
dinner. The scent of the fores1; was in
the dining-room and good taste as well.
Miss Faris, who is at present 'Mess"
manager, and her various assistants,
certainly deserve thanks for their trouble
in behalf of others.
At 2 oclock in the afternoon Mr. Lar
sen and his bandsmen were in the stand,
and, as the day was ideal outside, the
program rendered was e.. joyed to the
fullest. A good program was well ren
dered. Many thanks to the band.
In the evening the. services in chapel
were largely in the nature of a song ser
vice, but mention should be made of the
short speeches of Supt. Chalcraft and
Mr. Campbell. Both were appropriate
to the occasion and contained food for
reflection on the part of the pupils.
Thus ended our Christmas exercises.
Memorable they were in every way.
Our Christmas was a good one It will
be a pleasant memory for us in years to
come.
