CUTTING TABLE CLIPPINGS
The closing of the hop-picking season
marked the opening of our Tailor Shop
at Chemawa. Everybody is well pleas
ed with the change, as it marks a' step
in our progress, "Onward and Upward."
We, The Tailor Shop, experienced a
great benefit from our outing during the
summer and early fall and feel cabable
of meeting the many demands upon our
best efforts.
We express our thanks for the perfect
health of all our apprentices, due to our
outing system, and we can expect good
results from our boys at their chosen
trade, Custom Merchant Tailoring.
Here a boy is fitted to enter civil life
and taught how to design a set of pat
terns from which he can make a lay-out
on a limited amount of material; trim
and make such garments as demand
may require and which will have a mer
chantable value. Any boy eligible to
enter Chemawa cannot afford to wait
until late in life to embrace this oppor
tunity. He must begin when young
and acquire a skill and knowledge that
he will never lose as long as he lives,
and which will at some period of his lif&
be found useful and profitable.
Now is the time to embrace this great
opportunity as there are several vacan
cies in the Tailor Shop at present. Any
boy wishing to learn this trade can be
come an apprentice by applying to the
Tailor Shop, Chemawa. Tailor Shop.
