Mrs. F. Delevan, and son, Eneas, of
Portland, are visiting Mrs. Liphart, this

Ed. Teaho, a visitor of Mr. Teaho, re
turned on Tuesday morning to Grande
Ronde.
The hrick wo-k of the plumoer shop
was repaired this week by Meegrs. Mudge
and Lansing.
Abraham Hudson, an ex-pupil of
Grande Ronde, was a visitoron Tuesdny
for a few hours.
Ruth Brewer took part in the recital
given in Salem on Tuesday evening by
one of Miss Weller's classes of piano

Eugene Anderson and Manuel Swan
on, the Chemawa Y. M. C. A. delegates
to the student conference, held at
Columbia Beach, Oregon, returned home
fin Monday evening and report that they
liad a ve'ry nice time.
On last Saturday the baseball boys
were privileged to use the pitchforks
and cross hats with the hav. They have
eince disappeared and have beat it to the
tall timber in order to get in trim to
WOODBUTCHERS.
We are makiug our last round, gather
ing up all furniture that is out of com
mission. If yon have any you will
please do yourself a favor to notify us so
we can get it and put it in repair, for
after we have made this round, and you
fail to notify us, . then you will be required
to fill out your regular requests and have
them approved. This is the last notice.
We keep adding on new boys every
few days. Chag. Scott is a late addition;
he is from Alaska. He is shining up the
superintendent's dining table.
Henry Olsen is wiring up the sewing
room chairs. Girls, you are rougher on
chairs than the boys. We get more
chairs from your rooms than from . the
boys'.
Morrisette and Jackson were on the .
collecting committee Monday morning.
They were gathering up the fragments
of furniture.
Simpson Mathaus is making library
tables for Mrs. Doherty and the Y. W.
C j. room. When we deliver them
take notice, for Simpson, is a promising
student.
Elmer Pjucker'is one of our jolly fel
lows and can make good. We will show
pome of his work later.
We are pleased to know that we will
soon receive a shipment of a new band
saw, and new vices and other machines
much needed in our department.
We want to thank our superintendent
for favoring us with these machines and
give him our promise to get out our work
faster and better in the future.
Today is the last of the fiscal year.
We have made quite an advance in our
studies in thi department the last year,
but by adding Mechnnical Drafting and
closer and harder st'idy we mean to
make 1911a banner year. Keep an eye
on us.
