The Juniors had a test in arithmeitic
on Monday.
The painters " have started to paint
Brewer Hall.
Leon Reinkin is assisting Mr. Dili
gtrom this week.
John Rainville is now a member of
the garden detail.
Sally Beyers is making herself a
pretty white dress.
The dairymen are still hauling green
feed to the horse barn.
Alex Covington left for his home in
Washington last Friday.
The carpenters repaired the porch at
the dining hall last week.
The stump pullers have completed
their work clearing the land of stumps.
Miss Bender took some small boys
out in old Chemawa. They enjoyed it.
Mis Troutman's flower garden is
growing very fast and she is very proud
of it.
Minnie M. Clark is making 6ome very
pretty crochet work for Rhoda Silver
thorn. Bessie Clark .made a pretty dress for
Mrs. Weldfeit last week3 and she is very
proud of it.
The gardeners are kept busy these days
keeping the weeds out of the vegetable
behind the store.
Rhoda Silverthorn may be seen study
ing every spare moment the has. Rhoha
says that final examination will be on
hand toon and she wants to make the
sixth grade next year.
Mrs. Chalcraft is teaching the branch
girls some new songs, and we all enjoy
learning them.
Millie Friedlander, and Alice Sam
are making pretty bead belts for their
friends at McBride Hall.
Martha LeClaire finished Pearl Dur
kee's red sailor dress Friday and Pearl
is very proud of it.
Ella Flemming is one of Miss Brown's
best sewing-room girls in the afternoon
class in fitting dresses.
Sallie Boswell is making a pretty
dress for her sister Christine, of which
Christine is very proud.
The McBride Hall girls are all glad
to see Mrs. Theisz out and around after
being ill for a few days.
Mr. Lansing and some of the carpen
ter boys made some improvements at
the horse bran this week.
Miss Faris and Miss Grear took some
girls out walking last Sunday evening
and they enjoyed it very much. .
rlhe McBride Hall girls are all glad
to see the orchard in bloom and hope
they may have plenty of fruit this year.
Some of the smaller gardeners under
the charge of Antoine Francis. hoed the
blackberries next to the grapes this week.
Mrs. Fickle is very busy teaching her ,
sewing class how to make the new per
cales for the summer. Her class is
learning very fast.
In the weekly try-out the runners
came in in the following order: Smoker,
Mose, Olney, Souvigner, Michel, Grant,
L Dan, S. John, Spencer, Ainsworth,
E. Ashue, Arquetter Loftus, Haight,
Moses, P. Williams, F. Dan, A. Talbot,
B. Wilcox, James, W Luke.
