We all enjoyed the Chemawa birthday . entertainment. Annie Walker took her first lesson on the violin on Saturday. Mr. C. E. Frye has Supt. Chalcraft's cabinet about completed. We are all glad to see Elmer Ashue back in the blacks-mith shop. The gardeners are nearly through their mid-winter sorting of potatoes. Mr. Joe Rainville of Athena, Oregon, is here visiting his children. Susie Kaufman is getting along very nicely with her mut-ic lessons. We are glad to see Mrs. Brewer, Miss Gertrude and Ruth back at Chemawa. The oiling of the floor in Mitchell Hall has begun and will soon be. completed. The girls in Mrs.. Fickle's sewing room are making dresses for the small girls. They are getting along very nicely. Alice Stanger, who is now working in the laundry, does her work very neatly and Mrs. Woods is very proud of her. We are all glad to nee Mr. George Pi card back at Chemawa again. He has been to Umatilla on some business. Ollie Picard will soon be ready to go into the second grade music book, as she is one of Mifc,s Irene Campbell's best pupils. Mrs. Brown is real proud of Nellie Shepard, she is one of her best girls and also one of the best workers in the morn ing division.
