PUPILS' ITEMS LEFT OVER FROM
LAST WEEK
All the boys were glad to see Thanks
giving day came.
Dollie Case can be heard practicing
very hard on the piano.
The football boys are doing well this
year. They have not lost a game.
We all enjoyed seeing the slides shown
by Mr. Chalcraft Saturday evening.
The carpenters have just finished four
nice tables for the domestic science. ;
- i Lillie Braden can be seen at any time of
the day making gloves for winter use.
Robert Jake is one,' of the most indus
trious boys that Mr.. Cooper has on his

- The dining hall girls -were : busy deco
rating the dining hall for Thanksgiving
this ' week. " - -
; We were glad to hear that Simon
Matthews is coming back on the 29th of
this month. .
We are all sorry that Helen Dillstrom
is very sick and hope that she will soon
be 'well again.
; Mary Gregory is now Working in the
mess taking Annie Johnson's place on
account of her illness.
A letter, was received from Bessie
Meanus stating that in the future she
may return to Chemawa. :
Maggie Spencer received a postal from
Ida Johnson, stating that she is well and
is working for a very nice family.
The band boys are looking forward for
the new pieces which are coming so that
they may have them for practice.
The next game is basketball, so let
us get busy and organize a good, strong
team to represent Chemawa this year.
Leona R. John recieved a letter from
Dora Goodman saying she is coming
back to Chemawa.
A letter was received from Lena Ashue
in which she stated that Katie Henry
will be here to visit the school in the
near future.
One of the girls is afraid to have the
dentist fix her teeth this week, because
she said, she didn't want to miss the
Thanksgiving dinner.
CABINET SHOP
Mathew Simpson does his work good.
Mr. Flett is making a waste paper
basket.
We have just completed a library
table for Mr. Cooper.
Thomas Reed, just finished six ironing
boards, the folding variety.
Mr. Flett is an-all-round furniture re
pairman. Peter Bushman is now making a li
brary table for Mr. Swoboda.
Boys you never will have a better
chance to learn cabinet work than at
present.
. Nathen Nelson is a hustler, he is will
ing and tries to do his best.
Frank Feliz is a new addition to this
department, he is civil but has not been
in my shop long enongh to tell of his
skill. "
We have orders to make a complete
set of reception room furniture of high
class for Domestic Science. Inspect it
when it comes out.
Yes we have our 125 students tables
pretty' well along towards completion.
In a few more days we shall commence
100 more tables for the large dining
room. '
