UNCLE SAMS' PICNIC The Uncle Sams' Literary Society, composed of 46 husky boys, held their long-looked-for picnic of plenty of straw berries, cake, cookies, pies, doughnuts, cold meat, lemonade and buttered buns, on Tuesday evening, ihe 22nd, at Old Chemawa. All except two members were present and the iollowing guests: Mr. and Mrs. Smiih, Mr. Enright, Mrs. Teabo, Alias White, F. E. Smith, Joe Moss and Hiram Keogan. Mr. . Turney came in time to see the happy camping ground deserted and all the goodies gone. The Uncle Sams are certainly thankful for the kindly interest taken in them by Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Mr. Enrignt in promoting happy times for them. This ends the second years' work of the U. S. Literary Society. Long may it live. RELIANCE ENTERTAINMENT. On Wednesday evening the Reliance Literary Society, of which Mr. Fickle is critic, gave an entertaining program in the chapel in the presence of the student body and employes.
