Willie Ingram was a visitor here
Friday and Sunday.
Reuben Saunders visited Mrs. Brewer,
Saturday afternoon.
The band gave a concert last Sunday,
playing a number of sacred pieces.
Michel Wilson and a number of his
friends were out in the woods last Sun
day with his talking machine.
Mr. Enright received official notice
last week of his election to the position
of "Official Scorer" for Rose Avenue
League. Other officers of the league, as
known to us, ar,e, C. E. Larsen, president;
Harry Queachpalma, vice-president, and
Eugene Williams, secretary.
A recent press dispatch from Aberdeen,
Wash., says: Dr. Charles Buchanan, for
about fifteen year? superintendent of the
Tulalip Indian reservation, but trans
ferred a few months ago to the Haskell
Institute at Lawrence, , Kan., has been
ordered by the department to return to
Tulalip to continue the work of building
up the local boarding school. Dr. Buch
anan and family will arrive here within
the coming week.
An attractive souvenir of the annual foot
ball banquet at the Salem Indian training
school at Chemawa, Oregon, has been re
ceived here. The banquet was held on
March 16th after a successful season dur
ing which six games out of eight were
won. Assistant Superintendent Camp
bell acted as toastmaster and the toasts
were responded to by Superintendent
Chalcraft, Dr. Lieurance, Mr. Enright,
Mr. Smith, Joseph Dillstrom, Levi Sor
tor and David Graham, the captain of
the team. The Native American.

expecting to be there were the leading
members?
Who will make good and who will
not in the final try-out for the fifty-mile
relay race?
That George Williams is going to beat
John Brown and Frank Souvigner in the
final try-out?
That liniment would last twice as long
.if you had twice as far to go after it in
the other direction?
That the girls who went to the pie
house Sunday wrote their names with
some other friends name on the pie plates
and hung them on the barb wire fence
and also printed their initials in the soft
clay along the side of the road?
