In the meantime the carpenter apprentices are gaining valuable instruc tion by actual work. One of the greatest events atChemawa occurred on Monday evening when Dr. Lieurance showed his sporting ability by throwing Philip Moss of Montana in 2 min. 48 sec. in a wrestling bout; second bout, three minutes, draw. The Doctor is walking around with his hat on the side of his head and a chip on his shoulder and hunting for some one to knock it off. Up to date nobody has volunteered to . tackle the contract. Frank Wheeler, father of Abe Wheeler, came over from Grande Ronde the other day to see his son, who has been ill. Mr. Wheeler was accompanied by his brother, Jesse. Alex Cajete and Luther Clemmens are practicing a duet which we hope will be given at our next entertainment. Alex plays the clarinet and Luther plays the baritone. Both boys are good players. We are looking forward to an enter tainment to be given by the Seniors in the near future.., It certainly should be a good one as nearly all of the seniors are exceptionally good along the line of music and recitation.
