ANNUAL FOOTBALL BANQUET
On Tuesday the Annual Banquet was
given to the football team in the t-chool
gymnasium. The gymnasium was taste
fully decorated; streamers of red and
white school colors being predominate,
and nearly a hundred pennants were
suspended over the tables; plates being
laid for one hundred. The tables were
arranged in a hollow square, the guests
being seated on the outside of the square
all facing the center where all of Che
mawa's Football, Baseball and Track
Alhletic trophies were placed. Sur
mounting all was the. ball with which
the Christmas game with the Cath
olic Young Men's Club was won. On
the platform at one end of the room was
a barrel of oranges, which, with the aid
of an electric light, seemed to be of end
less depth.
At each plate was placed a handsome
menu as a souvenir of the occasion.
Mr. Turney and the printer boys deserve
great credit for the handsome piece of
work which they prepared on short no
tice. The tables were laiden with all
manner of good things to eat, smilax
and myrtle being artistically entwined
around the good things. The menu was
as follows: .

The credit success of the culinary part
of the banquet is due to the indefatig
able efforts of Miss Noble, whose fame on
the Atlantic Coast has extended to the
Pacific. Any of our old Carlisle friends

will know that the banquet was a success
when they learn that Miss Noble super
intended the menu. Mrs. Smith and
Miss Skipton assisted Miss Noble in the
preparation and arranging of the details
of the menu.
The hundred guests were at the table
for over three hours. Assistant Super
