Miss Rover took her eighth grade class for a picnic and they had a lovely time. M. M. Christina Lane will. soon have her new mandolin. She will then join the man dolin club. Minnie Piute, is making a pretty bead necktie for her friend, She will finish it Wednesday. M. D. The band boys are all sorry to see Walter Miller in the hospital; he is our baritone player. J. E. Christina Victor is working a pretty embroidery doily, which she will soon have finished. E. F. Grace and Rachel Carson of Toledo, Oregon, have returned to school after two years' vacation. A. R. M. We will soon have the pleasure of see ing the Che-en-tra Club appear again with a very interesting program. T. M. I am learning engineering; I am learn ing io read; I learn something every day. I like to goto school every day. A. S Mrs. M. E. Theisz inspects the rooms of McBride Hall twice a day; we are sure thatHhe girls all have clean rooms. The sewing room girls were favored with a treat of candy by Miss Brown, Monday. All enjoyed the treat very much. M. G. All three of the boilers are now con nected on to the new 80 ft. smoke stack, "and they have taken the old smoke stack down. T. A. Rena Mann is getting along fine with her violin. She commenced taking lesson a year ago and is playing in the mandolin club. S. M. B. I am a boy with a head on; I can run and play and jump, and I can walk, too. David Penny works in the blacksmith shop. I can see him working there C. C. Miss Rover and Mr. Turney took the Mandolin Club girls out to coast on Thursday. All reported having a good time and certainly enjoyed coasting. V. E. Talk about hauling cord wood, and talk about it being a fine job to be the conductor on the G. 0 & P line on a stormy day! Hazel Butler's friends were all verv glad to see her back at school, he ar rived Monday evening to every hodys' surprise, as she did not intend to come back when she left, H. H. Last Monday afternoon Lee Evans went into the blacksmith shop and made his initials. Did your iron burn? B.S. Clara Guyette is expecting her grand ma soon from Wapato, Wash M. M. Louise Johnson and Maggie Wynaco are taking the greatest interest in their training at the hospital. They are now learning to take temperatures. After work hours when they go back to Mc Bride Hall they take tach other's tem perature to see if they have any fever. V. S.
