Clifford Rolfe is back again working
on the garden detail, after having work
ed in the bakery.

preparing the material for repairing the
fence around the industrial building.
k Mrs. Fickle's sewing room girls made
the towels for Mitchell Hall last week,
for which the boys are very thankful.
The contractors are putting breeching
on the boiler and as soon as they are
connected the. new boiler will - be ready
for use.
Haines DeWitt is the handy man in
the carpenter shop. During his spare
moments he makes corner shelves and
tables.
The carpenters are expecting to com
mence work on the old hospital and re
model ti for use of the domestic science
department.
The new tables in the dining room are
much appreciated. Four more tables
are needed to seat the large attendance
at the dining hall.
Now the new boiler is running. It
will run the small engine and pumps,
while the other boilers are cut out on ac
count of putting in new pipe connec
tions. The new boiler in the power house
was prepared to steam up during the
period of time it would take before the
other boilers were connected on to the
fteam head. The first heavy fire was
put in on Tuesday.

from California, is now a pupil of Che

The girls and boys of the seventh
grade enjoyed visiting all of the work

There are a little more than six hun
dred pupils at the Chemawa IndianSchool
at present, and. pupils are still coming.

ball when the Blacksmiths and Engineers
battle for the championship of the

There was a party given at Mr. and
Mrs. Cooper's residence last Friday even
ing. The guests all had an enjoyable
time. Santa Claus was there and dis
tributed the Christmas gifts H. D.

Greer into their midst.
Miss Greer is teaching the fifth and
sixth grades. Miss .(-reer teaches the
the girls of these gradts and Mr. Fickle
teaches the boys.
Some disorder in coming into the
school building on ri uesday. Children
excited over the unusual fall of snow.
Margaret Lowry, who has done such
excellent work as pupil teacher in the
fifth grade, is now teaching the second
grade in the morning. Helen Harnden
is teaching the same grade in the afternoon.
