THE CHEMAWA AMERICAN ' CHRISTMAS ENTERTAINMENT In our last issue we gave the program of the Christmas entertainment at the school, and it only remains to state that the program was in every way pleasing and appropriate to the accasion The pupils acquitted themselves with person al distinction and credit to their in structors. . The decorations in the chapel on this occation were unusually fine. On enter ing the chapel a tasty arrangement of a profusion of evergreens greeted the eye. Streamers of evergreens draped from the ceiling down across the fore ground of the rostrum, while in the cen ter was suspended a magnificent beli shaped bunch of mistletoe. The win dows were all decorated, as were both the north and south entrances of the chapel. , Back of the rostrum were two Scrip tural quotations, one reading 1 Peace on Earth Good Will To Men," and the other "Glory to Gad in the Highest." Over the south door one was greeted with the welcome words, "Merry Christmas" while looking to the north entrance one was wished "A Happy New Year." Could anything have been nicer or more ap propriate to the season? We do not think so. CUTTING TABLE CLIPPINGS. The tailor shop is phased to report having had a very pleasant Christmas holiday In every way and in every thing good cheer reigned. The Christ mas tree gathering was a most eventful affair- the greatest that ever happened . in ChemawTa to our knowledge. The din ner was enjoyed by the small hoys' table in the large dining room where we presid ed on that occasion. The result of the football game was a very acceptable Christmas present to Chemawa from our football boys and we are thankful. We are also pleased to return to our shop again and find the true pleasure to be found in a usefuloccapation. For this and 11 other blessings wTe are thank ful. Hoping that we will close our football season with one more victory, we wish 'you all A Happy New Year. The Tail or Shop. ' , CHEMAWA'S SCHEDULE. Oct. 21 University of Oregon Second at Che mawa.
