Indums Defeat Albina
Outweighed 20 Pounds They Run
Over All-Stars From Portland.

Chemawa, Or., Dec. 26 The Che
mawa second team ended its season yes
terday afternoon by defeating the Albina
Club team here, 19 to 5. The Albina
team bad only lost one game out of sev
en. It outweighed the Indians 20
pounds, to the man and was made up of
star players of Portland and Vancouver.
The field was. wet and muddy, so the
redkin went into the game with a gocd
deal of trepidation. The first half clos
ed with the honors about even; neither
team being able to score.
The second half opened with the In
dians playing an aggressive offensive
game, and it was but a short time after
the ball was put into play that by line
bucks it was put in striking distance.
Then Mason, a speedy and aggressive
back, was given the ball, and he plunged
through for the first touchdown. Clark
kicked goal. Then the ball was kicked
to Chemawa, and Captain Lewis caught
it and ran it to the 40-yard line. Then
after a punting contest the ball was on
Albina's three-yard line. Halfback Dona
pon's punt was blocked by Charles.
Donason recovered the ball, but was
downed by Charles back of the line,
and two more tallies were added to Che
mawa's score. Todd, of Albina,- got
away with a fumbled ball soon after and
ran from the center of the field for a
touchdown. Donason missed goal.
Hy line bucking Chemawa soon had the
ball near the Albina's goal. Williams
then went over for another touchdown
for Chemawa, Clark kicked goal.
Then it seemed that the scoring was
over, as the ball was pushed back and
forth from one side to the other, and it
was just before time was called that
Queachpalma got away with a fumble
and ran from the 25-yard line for the
last score of the game. Clark missed
the goal.

The Junior branch of the Y. M. C. A.
was re-organized on the night of the
27th. in the reading room of Brewer
Hall. Mr, Goudge acted as Chairman
and 40 members wTere enrolled. The
following officers were elected: General
Supervisor. Albert Garry; President,
Loulin Brewer; Vice-President, Allen
McGibbons; Secretary and Reporter,
Henry Darnell and Treasurer, Oscar
Case. After singing the "Doxology,"
and having a closing prayer by Albert
Garry, w7e adjourned until we met on
Wednesday evening in school room No
8. After singing a couple of hymns the
President appointed the program com
mittees. lr. Garry then spoke a few
Words telling what the association stood
for and told the members to bring other
boys to join the Club We then ad
journed and went'into spend the rest
of the evening with the seniors.
