I have been here in Chemawa two
weeks and like the school very much.;

The engineering department has the
largest detail of hoys; it now numbers
thirty-two M. S. -
Emma Havard is a sweet singer. She
entertains the girls with her Indian
songs every evening. C. V.
Alice Chalcraft is expecting to go to
Portland Friday evening to visit her
cousin, Mrs. Bristow. N S.
Elmer Sorahan returned 10 Chemawa
last Sunday from Susan v.ijle, Cal., and
has entered the Seventh Grade. H. D.
Several new boys have arrived at
Chemawa lately. We boys from Miles
were lad to welcome the boys .from our
home. F. I.
This is a rushing week for Old Santa
Clans, as he is very busy in room no. 7
at the McHride Hall, . marking presents
f-r the pupils. M. M.
The small girls have a magic lantern
in their building and they have shows
every night. They pay for admission
with two marbles A. S. (t.

("hemawa, who has had some experience
in playing football, is coaching the
Klamath Agency football team. M. G.
' Those of u who have radiators in our
rooms appreciate th instruction given
hy Mr Campbell on how to avoid wrater
running from the radiator and how to
keep heat in it. A. B.
Company A and B had a game .with
the Hand boys' football team Saturday,
hut Company A and B were defeated
hy the score of 11 to 0. This was the
first football game for the band boys
this year. A. F.
Brevities
The band boys and a pick up team
played an exciting game of foot ball last
Saturday. The score was 11 to 0 in
favor of the band boys.
The appearance of Jack Frost makes
some of the boys look back to those good
old swimming days of last summer when
tney threw their coats and shoes in the
hazel brush along the road side.
What is the matter with the employes
foot ball team? Only two men are do
ing anything. Dr. Lieurence is prepar
ing drugs and bandages, and Mr, Mann
runs two miles every morning. That,
will never, defeat the first team.
Assistant Supt. Campbell gave some
important advice Monday evening about
the care and heating of radiators. Wed
nesday evening Jack Frost gave us a
like warning and reminded us that a
few more blankets wouldn't be bad.
