The Nonpariel Literary Society met in the usual place of meeting 'last 1 hurs day evening. - The house was called to order by the President and the roll was called. As it was the time to elect new officers there was no regular program arranged. Before adjourning Joe Purns and Pedro Chevio became members of the society by the unanimous vote of the members present. Y. W. C. A. The members of the Y. W. C. A. held their regular meeting last Wednesday evening. The meeting was opened by a song entitled, "In the Heavenly Pasture Fair.,, Katie Brewer then led in pray er. The roll. wras called, and each mem ber responded to her name with a Bible verse. We then sang another song and had a season of prayer. Dora Clau son was the leader for the evening and her tcpic was, "Lessons taught by Christ " and she save an interesting talk on the subject. Mrs. Chalcraft, Miss Rbyer and a few of the members made some remarks. The report of the devo tional committee was read and the clos ing song was sang and we repeated our! watchword ancl adjourned.
