FIRST BASKETBALL GAME.
The first basketball game was played
in the new gymnasium Friday evening,
when the first and second teams of last
year played a fast game before the stu
dent body and employes. The new
floor was somewhat slippery, which pre
vented the boys from doing their best
work.
This being the first time they were
together this year, the manner in which
they handled the ball goes to show that
there is excellent material for a winning
team this year. .
Supt. Chalcraft and Asst. Supt. Camp
bell played center for the first ball toss
ed. Wilson was the score bringer for the
first team. Smoker and Williams threw
the' baskets for the second team.
The line-up was as follows:
1st. 2nd.
Wilson F . . Souvigner
Clark F....... ... Williams
Sortor. ....... .0 ....Dillstrom
Wiggins .G ' .... Lewis
Darnell .G Smoker
Fifteen minute halves were played, the first
team winning by a score of 10 to 8.
Referee, J. M. Teabo; Time-keeper, E. Williams.
