Violet Berner received a letter from Mr. and Mrs. Washoe, who send their love to all their friends and say that Dr. Tucker spent Sunday with them. Esther Napoleon has been playing the guitar in the Mandolin Club since the. Club was first organized, but she is now going to take one of the first violins-M. L. Hince I entered Ghemawa I have im proved quite a bit in sewing. I have started on my, second uniform and am getting along fine. I hope I will know more by the end of the school year,-C. G. The bovs were but in search of a boy Monday night who had gone out hunt ing Sunday moring and .did not return home. He was found, at a neighbor's place wrorking. His folks were worried about him. L. McD. Sunday afternoon Miss Earlougher took a number of girls out for a pleasant walk. She took them down the rail road track and then down the road to Claxtar station on the carline and then back to the school. S. B. A letter was received from Lona John saying she arrived home safely and will be back soon with her little sister.-V. R. The girls over at McBride Hall, take great delight in listening to the Mando lin Club practice in the evenings. N. S. Left-Over Items Elmer Jordan made his first dumplings last Tuesday. The kitchen detail ha-s finished put ting up ninety six jars of fall butter pears, Pedro Chevio made his first pudding Monday. It was a rice pudding and de licious. Miss Brown took some girls out for a walk last Sunday. The girls report hav ing had a good time. ' We hope the marches at our weekly sociables will improve. We could have some fine drills in our big gymnasium. Miss .Frances Howard paid Miss Skip ton a visit this week, and we all are very glad to see her back at Chemawa again.v The Sunday walks are very much en joyed by the pupils. Different parties of girls chaperoned by teachers were out on Sunday afternoon gathering autumn leaves, The girls are anxious to play basket: baft. They are practicing, but hot as much -as they would like to practic. We hope we can play the best teams during the winter.
