Reginald Downie is busy working in the woodshed this week. Mr. Mudge is busy working on the new wagon shed this week. v Mr. Mann was repairing the gar deners' wagon Wednesday morning, The farmers started hauling manure to the garden Wednesday morning. Alex Moran and Henry John have just been dismissed from the hospital. Frank Cox was raking up the grass around the office Wednesday morning. Sarah Brewer is attending school now in the junior and senior classes. R. M. David .Billings, who has just returned to Chemawa, is now working on the garden detail, A number of small boys were busy cleaning up the yard around the Small Boys' building. Mr. Bowen was mowing the lawns with the large mowing machine Wed nesday, morning. Several boys from Mrs. Newcomb's building moved over to Brewer Hall Monday morning. A few plumbers were busy repairing some pipes on the north side of the engine room the other day. I am glad that Miss White is at Chemawa as teacher. She has been my teacher for so long. -E. M. John Brown is now working at the plumbling shop and is busy repairing the leakage at the Small Girls'Home. I came to Chemawa just a short time ago and like the school very- well H. K. Miss Evans received a very pretty silver bracelet for one of her birthday presents. M. P, Mr. Svvartz and Mr, Mann gave us a very interesting talk in chapel on Moi day evening. H. P. The dress makers are now making the girls' winter uniforms for Company A. of McBride Hall. A card was received from Doctor Paxton and he wishes to be remembered to his friends-. -rV. D. E. The girls in the small sewing room are very glad to have Mrs. Fickle for their instructor. M. H. D. Ella Flemming and Sallie Boswell have been transferred to McBride Hall from the Small Girls' Home. M. Z. We are all glad to see Anna Walker back to Chemawa. She has been abj sent for several weeks in Salem. H. H, Sunday was the first meeting for the Bible class in three months, and we were all glad to have Mr. Goudge lead us in our study. E. F. Mattie Zimmerman is working for Mrs. Campbell, and we hope that she will be a good cook by the time she quits working there. M. C. A number of new students have en tered Chemawa during the last few weeks They are all intelligent look, ing pupils and we are glad to have them come, and hope they will put themselves to hard study, and develop into the very best of young men and women, a we are proud of this institu tion, and any one who tries cannot fail under the instructions of any employes at Chemawa.
