buildings and societies,
The Industrial departments, are . pre
paring exhibits for the Oregon. State
Fair which will be ,held the week co n
mencing Sept. 14.
Mr. Edward Smith has been appointed
Disciplinarian' of Chemawa and has entered-
upon his duties, being transferee!
from the position of Assistant Engineer.
Word' has been received from Warm
Spring Agencv that Harry Queachpal
ma, Walter Miller, Paul Queachpalma,
Ken Wilson and several others will start
for Chemawa shortly. '
The rain last week has purified the
atmosphere, made big potatoes and
roasting ears, started the roses to hlooiri
profusely again and freshened up things
generally at Chemawa.

eastern sky. It was a complete double

Chemawa has large crops of prunes,
pears, potatoes and other Vegetables this
fall, and more apple than ever hefore in
its history. About one thousand young
apple trees came into bearing this fall
and they are loaded with fruit; tlS
