Eugene Williams and the rest of the
sweepers of Mitchell Hall were cleaning
and oiling the floors of it for commence
ment. ENGINEERS' NOTES.
Walter McGibbons is running the en
gine this week in the engineering de
partment. The engineers were putting up electric
wires and lights in the "gym".' Tuesday.
James Minesinger is on the night shift
in the engineering department this week.
Thomas Andrews has again returned
to his work in the engineering depart
ment. Boiler No. 1 is now in use. A new
furnace was placed in it last
week.
The engineer boys repaired the
big pump last Wednesday, so now it is
in operation.
George Flett is fireing this week in
the engineering department, and Willie
Carrasco is his wood hauler.
David Graham, who has been working
in the blacksmich shop, is now working
in the engineering department.
Eugene Anderson is running the en
gine, Thomas Davis fireman, Albert
Samuels wood hauler, in the mornings
this week.
Walter McGibbons and David Graham
have connected the wires to the wood
saw motor, which has been in use at the
cow barn running the silage cutter.

James Finley is now working for Mr.
Bowen.
The engineers have been busy putting
the main wire to the new gymnasium.
Miss Noble treated the office boys to
some cherries on Wednesday afternoon.
James Finley was mowing the grass
around Brewer Hall on Wednesday.
The seventh and eighth grades are
busy doing exhibit work for commence
ment. Peter Lamoose is one of the boys who
are painting the frame work of the
Sanitarium.
We hope Walter Haight will soon re
cover, who is in the hospital, from the
result of bronchitis.
Peter Lamoose was cleaning up for
Mr. Smith in the disciplinarian's office
on Wednesday morning.
There is always music in the air at Mc
Bridc Hall, because every spare moment
Melvina Moxley has she sings lis one
of her favorite songs. D. C.
There are a number of boys going to
Chautauqua. They will start July 18th
on Saturday. They will take part in
the exercises held during that day; we
wish them all success and hope they
will have a pleasant time. A. W.
Every boy and girl who is to ta je
part in the Commencement exercises is
busy practicing - their songs, and every
tlrfng else they must take part in. We
aie all looking forward to a fine
Commencement program, and we hope
Chemawa will make a name for herself.--P.
