CUTTING TABLE CLIPPINGS.
We are pleased, to be able to report
favorable progress upon the work in
hand the suits for the young gentlemen
graduates of 1908. We are "thankful 'for
this opportunity to test our prepared
ness to handle a garment from the be
ginning and trust that when this task is
finished we wiil. be wiser and better pre
pared tradesmen than when we commenc
ed. That Will be a step forward in the
right way and in no other way can any
thing be accomplished one must do the
work himself. To watch some -other per
son do the work, no matter how simple
and easy; it looks, is of no practical bene
fit to us. - In orderUo create confidence
in ourselves we must perform the task
ourselves -in no other way is progress
possible. - '!: I-- , :
A proffer of help was made an appren
tice, but in lefusing the same he said: UI
want to be wholly responsible for this
piece of work, so do not want any help."
Such an expression indicated a determi
nation to do, and do his best. Nothing
more is necessary, - nothing more is pos
sible,4 nothing more is asied. Make your
greatest effort in whatever you . , do and
you must succeed, and those who have
tried to assist in your advancement will
rejoice in your success and feel well .re,
paid for the?' hours., they have spent in
your assistance. r
