We are all glad to have Miss Howard
with us again.
Thomas Case went to Gladstone Park
with the band boys.
The pupils were reseated in the dining
hall last Monday evening.

Mr. Campbell and family spent the
Fourth in Salem with friends.
Quite number of boys are now sleep
ing out of doors these warm nights. .
Miss Irene Campbell is teaching Dolly
Case a piece to play for Commencement.
We had song service and talks from
Mr. Chalcraft and Mr. Campbell on San
day night.

while Mr. Larsen is at the Chautauqua
with the band.
Quite a namber of boys were called
upon to, pick strawberries for the neigh
boring farmers.
The band boys left for the Chautau
qua last Monday afternoon accompanied,
by Mr. Chalcraft. ... ,. ,
It, is a customary for Miss Evans' pu
pils to sing "Doxology" and repeat the
Lord's Prayer before studying.
Mrs. Brewer accompanied Miss Lily
Brewer to Gervais on Sunday. Mrs.
Brewer returned, but Miss Brewer re
mained there a few days.
Ella Brewer played the hymns and
the march in chapel on Sunday. Dolly
Case played them the previous Sunday.
It is excellent practice for our girls.
The dairy boys are now cutting vetch.

The Sixth Grade pupils are glad to
see their class-mate, Thomas Mullings,

The drilling of the Chemawa Battalion
in Salem on the Fourth of July was
highly praised by the Salem people.-- II.
