1 INDUSTRIAL NOTES
Nelse Charles is again working in the
bakery.
Willie Pratt is again working in the
kitchen, after a short spell of illness.
Ernest David, commonly called "Salt
Peter," is working on the industrial
detail.
Alec Lee, after being apprenticed in
the carpenter shop, is now working in
the bakery. , -
Alden Clark is highly, complimented
by Mr. Venter for his work in the har
ness shop. .
Joe DiUstrom is now working for Mr.
Cooper during the. absence of his broth
er, Henry. ,
Meri Poland did good work welding
a tire for a wagon wheel in the black
smith shop.
Joseph Pablo is now apprenticed in
the harness shop. He was ; working
there before.
Mr. Bowen and his boys are to be con
gratulated for their work on various
parts of the campus.
If any one should happen to visit the
blacksmith shop he'd find Sam McCush
busy fixing a mowing machine.
Mr. Smith and a force of boys cut the
lower limbs off of the trees between the
office and Supt. Chalcraft's cottage.
Vernie Cliffe made some fine biscuits
in the Domestic Science Class. The first
she ever made. Stay with it, Vernie.
Seymour Goudy completed his first
set of harness a couple of days ago. He
is proud of the results of his labor and
his friends are invited to inspect his
work.
Last Wednesday Mr. Picard came to
the blacksmith shop with his horse to
have him shod. Orin French under
took the job.
Caroline Wright is working for Mr.
and Mrs. Chalcraft, after having had
charge of the dining hall girls as
sergeant for some time. Ida Johnson
has taken her place.
NESIKAS ENTERTAIN
The chapel .was crowded to its full
capacity Wednesday evening in attend
ance of the Nesika Club entertainment.
There are some twenty members of the
club and they were all on the stage.
The first part of the program was in the
nature of a minstrel performance and
was interesting and very creditable,
consisting of the following numbers,
interspersed with jokes:

At the conclusion of the above
numbers a large cartoon was thrown
across the stage. It was certainly in its
originality of conception a credit to
the painter, Joe DiUstrom. After this
a pot-pourri of everything followed for
half an hour. Altogether it wras very
creditable to the members of Nesika
Club.
