Carl Cook is doing some fine plowing
in the garden. ;
The dairy boys are wfcite-washing the
inside of the dairy barn.
Ruther Jake and Fred Wright entered
the harness shop last week.
Mr. Bowen set out some geraniums
around the cottage Monday afternoon.
We are glad to see the, farmers plow
ing up the ground for school gardens.
Mr. George Picard ordered a wagon
made here at the school yesterday morning-

The wagon shop is now full of bureaus
and the wagon makers are repairing
them. 1
Harvey Ashue says that he is going to
help the boys to get the gymnasium
done as soon as possible.
The sewing room girls will soon be ready
to start in making the Mc Bride Hall
girls' percale uniforms.
Violet Edwards is now working in the
hospital kitchen. She will be working
there for about two weeks.
Minnie Picard is working in the sew
ing room. I, hope in the near future she
will be a good dress maker.
The .domestic science department
opened Monday for the cooking classes
to take up their regular work.
The engineer boys are digging a ditch
from the power house to the tower to
lay the steam pipes to the pumps. In
the past the pipes were over head.
Mr. Larsen and a number of boys
were unloading cement and shingles
from the cars . on the switch last
Monday.
The girls of the senior class are learn -ing
to do embroidery under the direction
of Mrs. Theisz. The girls enjoy the work
as it is fascinating.
The sewing-room girls have finished
McBride Hall girls' dresses and have
begun on the small girls. They aro
looking forward to a picnic when they
finish them.

Our boys defeated the Eugene High
School last Saturday by a score of 8tol.
Chemawa played ball from start to
finish and had the game from the start.
Their scorer did not seem to understand
the game and it was necessary to play
' 10 innings to convince them they were
defeated. The score:
