All the girls like the new teachers.
Some of the roses are in bloom and are

Cora Swanson is now working in the

Joe Keller says he can beat anybody
playing Hop Scotch. J. J.
The Chemawa; baseball team will play

The girls went out walking Sunday
and gathered vsome flowers. M. C.
The geraniums in the second grade
room loo very pretty.' E. D.
Elwood Towner is now working at Mr.
Larsen's office as- orderly. W. S.
The tailor boys have made. new white
suits for the baker boys. FT. W.
The second grade has a new teacher
and they like her very much. L. D.
Mary Boles has one of the cleanest
rooms in the small girls' home. H. -F..
Mrs. Doherty treated her detail boys
to lemonade and cake one day this week.
Chemawa is getting to be a pretty
place again since the roses are in bloom.
The Branch had very beautiful pen
nants given to it by Mrs. Chalcraft.

We are all glad to see Myrtle Wilson
out of the hospital and back to school
again. J. H.
Mrs. Chalcraft gave two pennants to
the third grade and I like to look at
them. F. W.
Eleanor Zimmerman and Maggie Curl
take charge of company C, and they are
good sergeants. -L. J. .
Walter Haight made a nice corner
shelf for Caroline Wright, of which she
is very uroud. J. L. -
The sweepers and tailors had a game
of baseball. The score was 17 to 10 favor
of the sweepers.--J. I). -
We are having very fine weather and
the roses are in bloom in several parts
of the grounds. E. M.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith took some of the
girls out for a walk last Monday evening
and they all enjoyed it. I. T.
The band is hard at practice for their
outing at the Chautauqua at Gladstone
Park; sometime in July. H. D.
In the second grade we are learning
a new song. Our new teacher has taught
us and we all enjoy it. E. G.
Addie Cameron, who is taking lessons
on the violin from Mr. Turney, says he
is the best music teacher she ever had.
A letter was "received from Bessie
Boles stating that she is well satisfied;
with her place and work at Forest
Grove. M. L.
The baseball team left Thursday for
Monmouth and Corvallis where they
will play one game with Monmouth and
two with 0. A. C.
The tailors and harnessmakers have
been cleaning up around the industrial
building, and that part of the campus
now has an attractive, appearance. --C.M .
. We all like our new teacher. She is
very nice to the children in the second
grade, but we all miss Miss Campbell.
She was so kind to the girls and boys.

Since Miss Brown has bsen seamstress
in the sewing room I have learned lots
in making dresses these last two years..
I am glad to learn how to make dreses.
