A large cement receiver for the man-'

trough have just been completed. Mr.
Scholder is making many improvements .

James Sanders of Great Falls, Mon
tana, has been confirmed by the Senate
to he agent for the : Indians of the
Blackfoot agency re in Montana, vice
Captain Jeremiah Z. Dare, U. S. Army,

At the experimental farm some peach
trees were planted in with the alfalfa,
and some were not. The trees that
were planted with the alfalfa did not
grow as well as those planted alone
because the alfalfa, took all the food
from the ground. Some old trees were
planted with the alfalfa,, and it did not
hurt t h e m N a t i v e Am e r i ca n '
The steam corking appaiatns i being
moved into th new kitchen. This kitch
en is a model: and for conveniences
and sanitary conditions cannot be sur
passed. Two cold-storage rooms are
handy, one for beef and vegetables and
one for milk. Then there is a very large
pantry. Altogether this new kitchen is
eminently satisfactory. -Sherman Bul
letin. New tring beans will soon be ready for
the pupils' menu. Potatoes are well
alon and cabbage, oniony, lettuce, and
early vegetables a re used dai ly. The re
arrangement of the rear grounds has en
abled Mr; Scholderi to have ample room
for a large garden. The school ranch
garden will have to do very well indeed
to surpass Mr. Scholder's vegetable gar
den at the school proper. Bulletin. .
Sherman people were very pleasantly
awakened on last Friday morning about
4:30 by. the beautiful strains of music
sung the Ramona1 octet, composed of
: Alice Marmon ; Andrea; Calac, Christina
Gabriel, Edith Marmon, Mary Pradt,
Pva Sldwe, Agnes Aguilar and Esther
Carmona. Several songs wTere sung as a
serenade to Superintendent Hall, com
memorating his birthday. Bulletin
The Bismarck School buildings are
now comnlete. and Superintendent V.
R. Davis, who has been acting as Super
intendent of construction, has been ap
pointed superintendent anil special
disbursing agent for the school. Inas
much as there are no funds for? equip
ment and maintenance until the appro
priation of 1909 . becomes available,
school will' not open until next year.
