We are having a good time in Chemawa:
We are sorry that Millie Friedlander is
sick in the hospital. -
We are all .glad to have Gabriel Peters
back to school. again.1 :
We are all vglad to see Hazel Butler
back to school again.
Ellen Oiney received a very pretty
dress from her mother.
Edward Carl is a pretty good carpen
ter and likes the trade.
Robert Stensgar is one of Mr. Bowen's
best workers in the afternoon.
Helen Dillstrom . is making herself
three pretty summer waists.
The girls who work in the hospital
like the new hospital very well. ,
Patsie Barrett is working at. the school
building and he likes his Work, i
Alphonsus- Guay is working in : the
garden? and, is doing pretty well."
Joe Whalawitsa is working in the wagon
shop and he is doing very good work
Joe Moss is now working on the gar
den detail and he says he likes his work.
Ida Johnson is learning how to play
on a mandolin; we all wish her success.,
Roy Frazier who was working at Mr.
Campbell's office, says: he liked to work
there. ,
Lizzie Martin made a very nice sofa
cushion for.: one of her friends some
time ago.' : -
Ellen Toliet is working.in the dining
room in the new hospital and Juli Hoyt
is still working in the new hospital.
Francis Firlotte is now working in
the dairy and he says lie likes his work
very well.
Alex Covington made himself a pair
of overalls. . Alex is learning fast; . and
-a takes much interest in his trade. .
Wallace Wilson and .Willie; Luke are
now working on the dairy detail, in the

This is St. Patrick's Day. He drove
the snakes, out of Ireland. i" Some are
wearing. green because it is his birthday.

Friday afternoon : Mr. 'Westley treated
the. sewing room r. girls with some -of his
dried prunes, which the girls enjoyed
very much. . . V
Now the days are long and the leaves
begin5 to appear on the trees. The farm
' ers are turning up the ground with their
plows. We are all glad Spring is here
again. : ' 1 -
We all enjoyed the entertainment
that was given by the "Che-in-tra Club,"
last Monday night. We hope to see an
other entertainment like the jolly "Che-in-tra
Club" gave.
It seems that the Fifth Grade pupils
are advancing in their studies, and they
are doing fine, and hope that some of
them will enter the sixth grade some
time in the near future.
A very delicious snow . pudding, was
make by the girls of the Senior Class , in
Domestic Science Tuesday morning.
They gave Mrs. Theisz a sample of their
cooking, which she enjoyed.
There are many talented debaters in
the Nonpareil Society, but they are not
yet well known; such asj ; Albert Garry,
who has been here three, years and has
recently joined and is scaling up in the
literary work. He is now capable of
competing with any of the older debaters.
