Miss Irene Campbell was coach and
chaperon for the baskekball girls who
went to Monmouth and ; who had the
pleasure of defeating that excellent team
by the score of 13 to 11.
The snow set us all a little wild.
Robins and bluebirds are telling us
that there will be no more cold weather,
Baia McCush wrote the account of the
eighth grade party in last week's Che
mawa American.
Mr, Westley returned to his work, last
Saturday after a month's vacation.
William Blodgett arrived here Tues
day morning for a visit and all his friends
were glad to see , him. He is employ
ed in a tailor shop at Tacoiria, Wash,
Miss Stillwell, who has been at her
home in Salem, U again acting as a
stenographer in the ofliee,
A; SHulden, who has been employed
at Chemawa for 'something more than a
year, left 'Wednesday for Ft. Shaw,
Montana, where he will see how he likes
the position of carpenter, and also other
conditions. Many friends at Chemawa
hope for his success. ' .

The Chemawa Y'. M, C. A. first basket
ball team will play the U. of 0. next
Saturday in our gymnasium. '
Last Saturday night Chemawn's Y. M.
C A, Junior basketball team' defeated
the Salem Y. M. C. A. Juniors by a score
of 25 to 8. 1
Russel Whitebear was beatenin a two
hundred yard foot race last Saturday
afternoon by William Watkins.
The boys of the Junior Y, M. C. A
are wishing for a big game with the Tai
lors' basketball team.

Saturday evening was enjoyed by all
who were present, . '
The junior basketball team defeated the
Salem juniors last Saturday evening by
a score of 25 to 8.
We are all anxious to; see the all'Stara
of Chemawa play basket-ball with
the Y. M, 0, A, team, .

We all enjoyed the lecture last Mon
day night,
Mrs. Olney is here visiting her
daughter, Ellen.
Mike Oleson says he likes to work
down at the lower farm.
It showed on Mr. Te'abo's birthday but
the basket-ball boys made it warm for

Small Boys' Home and he does his work
