you go to work at a given time make it,
a point to be at your post with the great
est punctuality. This will show you to
be a. reliable person and will win for
you the confidence of your employer.
In time you become a "trusted" employe
and better things are possible. ,

PROGRESSIVE
This new society was organized Jan
uary 30th. The first thing to do was to
elect officers for the new society. Walter
VA AMERICAN
Haight was elected president; Andrew
Bettles, Vice-president; Willie Pratt,
vSeoretary; Albert , Scott, Sergeant-at-arms;
George Home,' Treasurer, and
James Olney, reporter. Short speeches
were nade by the officers, Mr. Fickle
gave an instructive talk to the new so
ciety. Andrew Bettles sang a. song, then
we were dismissed.
RELIANCE.
The Reliance Literary Society met in
room No. 8. The meeting was onened I
by the president. On account of the
changes made we elected new officers,
The officers elected were: Thos Mul
lings, president; Abel Grant, vice-presi
dent; James Evans, secretary; and
Galucia Nelson, sergeant-at-arm. We
then had a few words from our critic
and adjourned

The members of the Y. M. C, A. met
in their hall last Wednesday evening,
and had a very short meeting on ac
count of the members not all being pres
ent. After singing several s-ongs and
making suggestions we adjourned.

Christian Association met in their room
last Wednesday evening, Roll was oall

hung, followed by a prayer by Bessie I
Chiloquin, The association then read j
together the 93rd Psalm, and sang an-1
other song, "We're Marching to Zion." !
The topic for the meeting was 0bedi
ence," led by Margaret Lowry. Several
members spoke on the subject. They
then had a season of prayer led by Miss
Bowman and closed by Virginia Garry.
A closing song,' "Blessed Be the Tie that
Binds," was sung, the watch-word re
peated and we adjourned.
