of the hospital.
We are glad that Katie Holland is

Viola Ferris is becoming an expert
basketball player.
Violet Berner made a s quick trip to
Portland on business.

We third grade girls are glad to have
Mary Gregory in our class.
The boys are now getting ready for
another football game Saturday.
Moses Alvarado is working on the
farm. He says he likes his work.
The pupils of the seventh grade are
getting down to hard work this year.
We all hope to see our gymnasium
finished so we can have some exercise.
Tillie Horn is orderly in the big sew
ing room and she says she likes it well.
Alice Sam is now working in the sew
ing room. She is pleased with the place.
Mrs. Theisz gathered some roses for
the mess dining hall. They looked very
nice.
Mary Boles said that she was glad to
see Myrtle Berner come back to school
again.
The fifth grade pupils are all glad to
have Charlie Michell enter their class
again.
Helen Fairfield made some fine bis
cuits last week in the Domestic Science
building.
I am glad to be back at Chemawa
with my girl friends and especally to be
in school.
Lizzie Frazier, the fifth grade pupil
teacher, takes much interest in teaching
her pupils.
We are all glad to see Louise Dionne
back to school after spending Christmas
at her home.
Floyd Hayden is one of the school
building firemen and he will keep the
school rooms warm.

have a trombone player by the name
of William Friedlander.
Thomas Andrews can play some good
tunes on his new Violin. Among them
are some Indian songs.
We are now having very fine weather
for the month of January. We hope it
will be with us for a while.
The carpenter boys are busy cleaning
the gymnasium so that carpenters can
do their work more comfortably.
James Minesinger and Ed. Ainsworth
fixed the little engine behind the boilers
which is used for forced draft.
Violet Edwards is getting to be quite
a nurse now since she has been working
in the drug room in Laura Wilson's
absence.
Rhoda Silverthorn stays in her room
all of her spare time crocheting lace.
That is certainly a good example of not
wasting time.
Nettie Corrasco went up .town with
her brother Willie, Saturday. They
had their pictures taken together to
send to their father.
